At the start of the year the city made a list of road projects it wanted to work on. As of now, most of the major roadways have been completed, while all but one of the residential roadway projects have been finished.
Senior Project Administrator Robert Kovacs admits road construction pace has slowed this year because of the weather.
“We had a fairly wet year through the summer, so some of these projects have gone longer then scheduled. It’s just because of that wet weather that we get delays.”
Though crews work hard to finish projects before the cold weather sets in. Some won’t be finished until 2015, but the city hopes the public can see the end goal.
“They see the short term pain, but i think also recognize the long term gain. they see the positive and the future and i think in the end they’ll be happy.”
