CALGARY- Two men that fled an attempted kidnapping and extortion in August are wanted on Canada-wide warrants.
On August 6, 2014 Calgary police responded to a call on St. Moritz Drive in the southwest community of Springbank Hill.
A woman at the house reported that a family member had been kidnapped and was being held for ransom.
By the time that officers arrived at the home the male victim had just been returned and police were able to take one person into custody.
Two men that were able to flee the scene are now the subjects of Canada-wide warrants.
The Calgary Police Service is looking for 30-year-old Tusif Ur Rehman Chhina and 23-year-old Mohamed Abdi Yusuf in relation to the incident.
Chhina goes by the alias of Raheem and is 5’9, 130 pounds with brown eyes, balding black hair and a scar on his forehead.
Yusuf is from Etobicoke, Ontario and is 6’3, 180 pounds with brown eyes, black hair and goes by the name Frankie.
Anyone with information about their whereabouts is asked to contact police.
