  • Election organizers and volunteers for Toronto’s mayoral candidates wasted no time installing campaign signs on lawns across the city overnight.
  • Canadian Blood Services says donors are needed immediately to increase Canada’s critically low blood inventory. Supplies are at a six-year low.
  • Canadian universities are slipping in a global ranking based on learning environment, research, innovation and other performance indicators. Eight Canadian universities made the top 200 in the Times Higher Education ranking, and of those, only one – the University of Toronto – held its position at number 20.
  • Dallas Cowboys special teams player C.J. Spillman is under investigation but hasn’t been arrested or charged after a report of an alleged sexual assault at the team hotel last month.
