VANCOUVER – Police say they are aware of an alleged mugging that took place along the seawall in Sunset Beach in Vancouver on Friday night.
Two people were walking on the path near the sewage pump stations when they say they swarmed by five to six men, in their late teens to early 20s.
In an online post one of the victims says the men stole their phones, wallet and a purse.
Const. Brian Montague of the Vancouver Police says definitely pepper spray or bear spray was used to intimidate the couple, but he could not confirm if any other weapons were involved.
The victims posted a note online to warn others walking in the area at night.
