MONTREAL – Police have lifted their perimeters after a suspicious package was found in Saint-Henri late Friday night.
At around 2 a.m., police were notified about the package, which had been found on the corner of Carillon avenue and Sainte-Marie street.
About a dozen people were evacuated from their homes and the bomb squad was called.
They neutralized the package, but it is not yet known what was inside.
The case has been referred to the arson squad, according to Lynn Duncan of the Montreal police.
