REGINA – Police in Regina say officers used a Taser on a man they say struggled with police while attempting to flee a traffic stop.
Police say the 26-year-old man was in breach of bail conditions, and that he took off running after the officers stopped his vehicle.
They say the suspect grappled with an officer several times during the chase, and that he allegedly tried to grab the Taser and the spare cartridge from her belt.
Twenty-six-year-old Dwayne Floyd Lavallee faces numerous charges and will appear in court this morning.
Police say a Use of Force Committee will review the incident.
