HALIFAX – Some parents in Dartmouth were left looking for alternative arrangements for their kids on Friday morning.
Just after midnight, the Halifax Regional School Board issued a press release indicating Ian Forsyth Elementary School will be closed for the day due to a power outage.

Approximately 350 students are affected by the closure.
A representative from the school board says there is a problem with the power line at the school, but expect it to be repaired this weekend.
Classes are expected to resume on Monday.
