HALIFAX – Police in Halifax have released three photographs of the people they believe are responsible for using fake $50 American bills at local merchants.
Police allege a man shown in two of the photos used the bills to buy merchandise at the Halifax Shopping Centre on Sept. 12.

Another photo shows two women who police allege used bogus bills on Sept. 13 to buy goods at a Sobeys grocery store on Queen Street.
Police say there have been at least 25 reported cases of purchases made with counterfeit cash in the Halifax area since Sept. 10.
