Regina company fined for breaching safety rules after worker burned

REGINA – A Regina company has been fined almost $20,000 on a health and safety charge after an employee was burned filling a propane tank.

Mobile Propane Services Inc. pleaded guilty to one count of failing to maintain a safe work environment under occupational health and safety legislation.

The company was cited for failing to make required repairs to a mobile propane distribution truck.

A provincial court judge ordered the company to pay $19,600 in fines and surcharges.

The charge was laid against the company last October.
