QUEBEC – A fire that broke out this afternoon at the Musee de la civilisation in Quebec City is under control.
About 50 firefighters were called to the building in the old part of the city where smoke and flames were visible on the roof.
There are no immediate reports of injuries and it is unclear whether there are damages to any of the museum’s collections.
Because the museum is closed on Mondays, there were no visitors today.
There is no immediate word on the cause of the fire, although workers were on the roof at the time.
The museum opened its doors in 1988.
