KELOWNA – An Okanagan man makes a first court appearance Tuesday in Kelowna accused of trying to sexually lure a child over the internet.
In May, an officer with the BC RCMP Integrated Child Exploitation Unit logged on to a chat site under the name “cdngrl14”.
In an unproven allegation in a court deposition, the officer says “A user who identified himself as “Jeff” {33 years of age} engaged in sexual communication with me and suggested that if we met, he would like to teach me how to engage in sexual activities with him.”
She also alleges “Jeff” said he felt guilty for chatting with me because I was only 14 but liked the idea of meeting a “hot young cutie and having fun.”
Cory Samuel Brosnikoff, (DOB 1969), of Lake Country faces one count of communicating via computer to lure a child under 16.
