WINNIPEG – A severe thunderstorm warning is in effect Monday morning for Manitoba.
A dangerous thunderstorm capable of producing golfball-sized hail was being tracked by meteorologists at about 12:25 p.m., Environment Canada said in a weather alert.
Intense thunderstorms east of Pine Falls have the potential to bring very large hail, Environment Canada said in the alert, and weather spotters have reported ping-pong to golfball-sized hail.
Isolated thunderstorms have also developed in the Berens River region.
The severe thunderstorm warning is in effect for:
- Little Grand Rapids and Atikaki Provincial Park;
- Bloodvein;
- Bissett; and
- Nopiming Provincial Park.
