Police are investigating after a 19-year-old shooting victim turned up at a hospital shortly after reports of gunshots heard in Surrey Sunday night.
Investigators received reports of shots heard in the area of 134th St and 90th Ave, near Cindrich Elementary School, around 8:30 p.m.
Witnesses said several vehicles were seen driving quickly from the area.
Officers attended, and a short time later a 19-year-old Surrey man arrived at a hospital with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.
The victim was not totally cooperative with police, but police have recovered physical evidence at the scene of the shooting.
The surrounding area was canvassed for witnesses.
It appears that the shooter is known to the victim, and the incident does not appear to be random.
