FREDERICTON – The police force in Fredericton now has its own Facebook and Twitter (English and French) accounts.
Spokeswoman Alycia Morehouse says the social media sites will be used to share information about missing persons, high-priority calls and education campaigns.

She says the sites were developed in co-operation with the New Brunswick RCMP and Saint John Police.
Morehouse says the pages cannot be used to report crimes and they’ll be monitored only during regular business hours.
