Coquitlam RCMP are looking for a group of men after a man was violently assaulted while walking on Westwood Street in Port Coquitlam.
Police say a 37-year-old Coquitlam man was walking in the 3100-block of Westwood Street on August 12 between 8:30 p.m. and 10 p.m. when he was attacked by a group of men hanging out near a car wash.
The victim suffered injuries to his head but managed to fight off the attackers. The head injuries were non-life threatening but described by police as “moderate.”
Police believe the attack was an isolated incident. They are looking for a group of Asian men who fled the scene in two or more vehicles, of which there is no description.
