Sawed-off shotgun, drugs found at noisy Penticton motel party

PENTICTON – Police responding to a loud motel party found much more than they expected.

Penticton RCMP responded to the Highland Motel late Saturday night after receiving noise complaints.

When they arrived, officers noticed a sawed-off shotgun inside the hotel room.

A search of the room turned up more weapons, a large quantity of ecstacy, a stolen bicycle and drug trafficking supplies.

Three people were arrested.

Darcy Emil Lenko, 50, is facing numerous charges including possessing a prohibited weapon and stolen property.

A 33 year old Penticton woman remains in custody in connection to an outstanding warrants.

A 35 year old local man has been released without charges.

Lenko is scheduled to appear in court Tuesday.
