CALGARY – Police are looking for help identifying two people who witnessed the violent death of a young man outside of a downtown bar last year.
18-year-old Lukas Strasser-Hird was stabbed to death in the 200 block of 10th Avenue S.W. around 2:45 a.m. on Saturday, November 23rd, 2013.
Police believe Strasser-Hird was attacked during a fight between two groups, and have already charged several people in connection with his murder.
However, investigators are now hoping to speak with two people who they believe witnessed the attack and may have information.
“We do know these two individuals were at the location in the same time frame as this incident that occurred, and they may have information that could assist us,” says S/Sgt. Kurt Jacobs from the Calgary Police Service.
They left the scene in a white import car, possibly a Mitsubishi Lancer.

Police are still asking witnesses to come forward, and submit any related photographs or videos to homicidetips@calgarypolice.ca.
The victim’s father hopes witnesses will come forward.
“All the people that did this, they could do it again to somebody else’s child. They obviously have no reservations to kick and stomp someone when they are dying on the ground,” says Dale Hird.
“That’s pretty horrendous if you ask me.”
