COLDSTREAM — Operations at Coldstream Lumber are back up and running nearly a week after a fire ripped through the company’s kiln building. The 40 employees were back at work Monday.
“This unfortunate disaster will not affect our production,” says Coldstream Lumber president, Johnal Lee. “Our 40 employees are eager to clean up and move on to the future.”
Both of the company’s kilns were destroyed in the fire. Lee says new kilns were purchased, but are yet to be up and running. In the meantime the company will make alternate kiln drying arrangements.
