WHITBY, Ont. – A toddler is recovering from serious injuries after falling from the second-floor window of a home in Whitby.
Police say the three-year-old boy was playing on a bed against the window when the window’s screen gave way on Sunday afternoon.

The child rolled off the roof of the home and fell about four metres to the concrete below.
He was taken to a hospital in Oshawa before being transferred to Sick Kids Hospital in Toronto.
The boy is in stable condition and police say foul play is not suspected.
