OLIVER– Fire gutted an Oliver home early Friday morning.
Fire crews rushed to the Station Street address around 3:30 AM to find the house fully engulfed in flames.
“There was no chance for firefighters to enter into the building just due to the amount of fire and smoke,” says Rob Graham, spokesperson for the Oliver Fire Department.
Firefighters got a handle on the blaze, knocking it down a couple of hours later.
Graham says the fire is considered suspicious based on the time of day and the fact nobody was home when the fire started.
RCMP are assisting fire investigators to determine the cause of the blaze.
