The Ice Bucket Challenge has been accepted by thousands and thousands–from movie stars to elite athletes. Morning News hosts Eva Kovacs and Derek Taylor received the challenge from their good friends (maybe enemies now), Richard Cloutier and Kathy Kennedy of CJOB.
With Eva out of commission, thanks to a dishwashing injury (true story), Mike Koncan does an amazing Eva impersonation, and braves the bucket of ice water.
The Ice Bucket Challenge is to raise awareness of ALS (more commonly, Lou Gehrig’s Disease). The ALS association has seen donations rise five-fold to $9.5-million over the last two weeks.
Next up, should they accept the challenge are 16×9‘s Carolyn Jarvis, Global Toronto weather anchor Anthony Farnell and Hudson the Polar Bear of the Assiniboine Park Zoo.
