TORONTO – Police have charged a man with four offences including sexual assault after a woman reportedly confronted an intruder in her bedroom early Tuesday morning.
Officers were called to a residence on Lyndhurt Avenue in the Bathurst and St. Clair Avenue West area around 6:30 a.m. for a break and enter.
Police arrived to find a 27-year-old woman with minor injuries from a confrontation she allegedly had with a man in her bedroom.
Police are unsure about the motive but are calling it a possible home invasion.
The man has been taken in for questioning and charged with four offences including break and enter, sexual assault with a weapon, possession of break and enter instruments and possession of property obtained by crime.
He is scheduled to appear in court Wednesday for a bail hearing.
