LA RONGE, Sask. – An RCMP officer allegedly arrested a suspect red-handed in La Ronge, Sask. on Sunday morning.
The RCMP officer received a call from a nearby locked compound for vehicles of owners who are flown to fishing camps.
RCMP say the officer caught the suspect while he was still actively breaking into vehicles.
A total of 23 vehicles were broken into and rummaged through.
The La Ronge area man is currently facing several charges and will be held for a court appearance after the long weekend.
Investigators say the suspect may not have acted alone.
