WATCH: A big weekend for boating so Ontario police officers are reminding us of how to stay safe. Peter Kim reports
TORONTO – Ontario Provincial Police are warning motorists and boaters to drive safely and responsibly this Civic Holiday weekend.
Officers will be on the road focusing on offences such as impaired driving, seat belts, distracted driving and aggressive driving.

Safe boating practices are also being urged which includes wearing a life jacket at all time.
The OPP also say boating deaths are preventable and that nearly half of those fatalities are attributed to the consumption of alcohol.
