MONTREAL – Provincial police are reminding motorists to be cautious on the roads after a construction worker was hit in Richelieu.
At around 6am Saturday, the paving crew supervisor was struck by a drunk driver at the intersection of Route 112 and Chemin des Patriotes.
Police say the 34-year-old victim is in stable condition with serious injuries to his shoulder and legs.
The driver was arrested and could face charges of impaired driving causing bodily harm.
The incident comes just as the 2-week construction holiday begins in Quebec.
