SASKATOON – A lightning strike is the likely cause of a house fire in Saskatoon Thursday evening.
Dispatchers received multiple calls around 9 p.m. of smoke coming from the roof of the house at 1918 20th St. East.

Crews arrived to find smoke coming from the attic and eaves. The fire was quickly put out and firefighters remained on the scene to make sure it hadn’t spread.
Three people inside the house got out safely and no injuries were reported.
There is no damage estimate.
