A library book that has been missing for 30 years has finally been returned.
The book titled “Camping and Wood Craft,” a handbook for vacation campers and wilderness enthusiasts, was recently received by staff at the Prince George Public Library.
It was returned along with $100 cash.
There was also an apologetic note tucked inside that read,
“This book was borrowed from the Courtenay Library 30 years ago. I wish to return it and pay the overdue fines.”
The book is now being shipped back to Vancouver Island along with the $100.
