Man suffers potential life-threatening injuries in Kelowna accident

KELOWNA — Police don’t have a clear picture of what happened, but can confirm a 23-year-old man suffered serious, potentially life-threatening injuries after an accident in Kelowna Saturday morning.

RCMP say the man was in the passenger seat when it’s believed he jumped out of the moving vehicle on Glenmore Road at Union Road.

He was taken to Kelowna General Hospital.

The man driving the vehicle remained on scene with the victim until emergency crews arrived.

RCMP are still investigating the series of events that led to the man jumping out of the vehicle.

A section of Glenmore Road was closed for several hours Saturday morning.

Police are now asking any witnesses to come forward.
