An avid mountain climber from Saint John has reportedly died after a climbing accident in Peru.
Canadian mountain climber Cory Hall died while soloing Mount Piramide, a 5,885-metre high mountain in west Peru.

According to Gripped, a climbing magazine, the 25-year-old arrived in Peru’s Cordillera Blanca in June. He was a “cutting-edge climber in that he went where few had gone,” said editor Brandon Pullan.
The accident happened on Saturday.
