REGINA – The number of people in Saskatchewan who failed a driving test last year is the highest it has been in nearly a decade.

Saskatchewan Government Insurance says just 48 per cent of those who went for their test in 2013 passed. In 2004, it was 58 per cent.

Ciaran Downes of S-G-I says it doesn’t take into account the possibility some people may have tried writing the test multiple times before eventually passing.

S-G-I is currently looking into how Saskatchewan’s road test results compare with other provinces.
