PENTICTON – Boonstock tells fans that it is under no threat of being cancelled.
Organizers were left singing a sour note after International Crowd Management (ICM), the security company it hired, announced it was withdrawing services.
ICM says Boonstock was asking it to make unacceptable changes to its safety plan, sparking health and safety concerns and placing its professional reputation in jeopardy.
On Boonstock’s Facebook page, it says: “We don’t want to go into too much detail about what happened, but suffice it to say we are in talks with other security management companies.”
Global News contacted several Boonstock organizers since the news broke out yesterday, but no one has returned our calls.
