One man killed in motorcycle crash south of Calgary

CALGARY – One man was killed and another was seriously injured in a motorcycle crash southeast of the city on Wednesday evening.

It happened near Vulcan on Highway 534 between Township Road 255 and Township Road 256.

RCMP say both men were travelling eastbound on separate motorcycles around 8 p.m. when they collided and slid off the highway.

The crash killed one of the men, while the other was air lifted to the Foothills Hospital in Calgary by STARS Air Ambulance.

RCMP say both victims, a 40-year-old man and a 53-year-old man, were wearing helmets.
