VANCOUVER – While Burnaby MLA Kathy Corrigan has been condeming distracted driving in B.C., it’s come to light this morning her husband, Mayor Derek Corrigan, has been caught doing just that.
The Burnaby Mayor is among thousands of drivers who has been ticketed for not paying enough attention to the road while behind the wheel.
He was ticketed last year for using an electronic device.
Court records show the mayor refused to say what type of device he was using, or the circumstance of the incident.
He’s disputing the ticket but it has yet to go to a hearing.
