KELOWNA, B.C. – A semi struck a mini-van on Sutherland Avenue near Gordon Drive Wednesday morning, but the incident was just more bad luck for a Kelowna woman.
Ruth Neiser was taking a moment to get over being robbed when the accident took place.
Neiser, a clerk at the Extra Foods, says a customer turned into a thief as he grabbed money when she opened the cash drawer to give him change.
Rattled by the incident, she went out back of the store to regroup.
That’s when a transport leaving the grocery store parking lot struck her van which was parked at the curb.
Damage to the vehicle was minor.
