TORONTO — The 20-year wait for more Harry and Lloyd is almost over.
The trailer for Dumb and Dumber To debuted Tuesday on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.
Jeff Daniels is back as Harry Dunne and Canada’s Jim Carrey returns as Lloyd Christmas in the comedy, which is due in theatres Nov. 14.
This time, the two dim-witted friends set out to find one of their long-lost children in hopes of getting a new kidney.
The third film in the franchise — 2003’s Dumb and Dumberer: When Harry Met Lloyd was a prequel starring Derek Richardson and Eric Christian Olsen — also stars Kathleen Turner and Rob Riggle.
It was directed by Bobby Farrelly and Peter Farrelly, who helmed the first movie.
Dumb and Dumber was a big hit in the mid-90s, opening at the top of the box office and going on to earn $247 million worldwide.
The prequel didn’t fare as well, making only $39 million.
Carrey, 52, joked last year that he will make one Dumb and Dumber movie every 20 years.
“When I’m 91, I will do a Dumb and Dumber sequel,” he told Ellen DeGeneres last September.
“It will be called Gum and Gummer.”
