WATCH: Kelowna memorial for fallen Mounties

KELOWNA, B.C. – As a nation mourns the loss of three RCMP officers who were murdered in Moncton, NB, smaller ceremonies are taking place across the country Tuesday, including in the Okanagan Valley.

More than 200 off duty RCMP officers, fire department personnel and paramedics filled Trinity Baptist Church for a local ceremony and viewing of the ceremony taking place in Moncton.

Pastor Tim Schroeder began the morning event, followed by a speech by Kelowna Superintendent Nick Romanchuck.

There are two Kelowna Mounties who knew the slain officers and have flown to New Brunswick to attend the service.

Constables Fabrice Gevaudan, Douglas Larche and Dave Ross lost their lives Wednesday night.

The Revelstoke RCMP is hosting a memorial service at 11 A.M. Tuesday at 404 Campbell Avenue in front of the detachment.

Penticton RCMP have prepared a Book of Condolences at the front desk of their detachment. It will remain at the office until June 13th.
