TORONTO – Firefighters pulled eight people out of a burning building Monday afternoon as their apartment filled with smoke.
The fire broke out on the second floor of the building on Westmount Avenue shortly after 4 p.m.
The smoke eventually filled the apartment above forcing firefighters to rescue eight people from the window of the third floor.
Seven of the eight people rescued were taken to hospital.
