EDMONTON — Charges have been withdrawn against a 27-year-old Edmonton man who police accused of sexually assaulting a teen and forcing her into the sex trade.
The 16-year-old told police she had been forced to work as a prostitute for a month, Staff Sgt. Jerry Nash told Global News in June 2014. The girl said all the money she made from about 100 clients went to her pimp.
In early December, the Crown withdrew five of the charges against Sean Patrick Wilson, including procuring for prostitution, living off the avails of a person under 18 and two counts of sexual assault. Wilson pleaded guilty to common assault in the case.
