NARAMATA — Some call them majestic, while others say they’re a nuisance. Peacocks have been a controversial issue in Naramata ever since they were mysteriously dropped off several years ago.

Many residents admire the birds’ plumage, and visitors are often impressed to find the exotic birds.
But the animals also leave scratches on people’s vehicles, and droppings everywhere.
Earlier this month, three more birds showed up and the animals’ presence continues to divide the small town.
