SIDNEY, B.C. – Child pornography charges have been laid against a Vancouver Island man.
RCMP in North Saanich say single counts of possessing, accessing and distributing child porn have been laid against an unnamed resident of Sidney, B.C.
According to police, the man’s suburban Victoria home was searched last week.
The BC Integrated Child Exploitation Unit began the investigation early last month before turning the case over to Mounties in the Sidney area.
The man has now been released from police custody, but several conditions limit his movements.
He’s been ordered to return to provincial court in Victoria next month.
