KELOWNA — Within minutes of local officials indicating that a high streamflow advisory has been rescinded, the City of Kelowna has closed a local road due to high water.
The city says it has closed Bullman Road bridge near Shadow Ridge Golf Course.
It says the closure of the bridge is a precaution to a rising Mill Creek.
The Central Okanagan Regional Emergency Program issued a high streamflow advisory on Sunday for Mission Creek and other local watersheds due to high water river levels through the Southern Interior as a result of heavy rain and snowmelt.
