HALIFAX – RCMP are investigating after a man allegedly threatened a drug store employee with a needle and made off with some prescription drugs Sunday evening.
Police say the male suspect entered Lawton’s Drug Store on St. Margaret’s Bay Road shortly after 6:30 p.m. and demanded the female employee hand over the drugs.
He allegedly threatened her with a syringe.
The employee complied and the suspect fled the store. A police dog was brought in to assist in a search, but the man could not be found. Investigators believe he got into a car.
Nobody was injured and the investigation is ongoing.
