SWIFT CURRENT, Sask. – RCMP are investigating a possible attempted child abduction case in Swift Current.
RCMP received a call that an 8-year-old girl was walking home on the south side of Swift Current when a red Econoline-style van pulled up beside her and the man in the passenger seat told her to get in.
The girl ran away from the man and he chased her a short distance before leaving the scene.
The suspect is a white male around 30-years-old with acne on his face and wearing a dark hoodie. The only description of the driver was that he was also male.
The van the suspects were driving is an older Econoline-style van that is red and has silver spoke-style hubcaps.
