For the second time in a little over a month, a home in Kamloops has been targeted with a suspicious package.
RCMP were called to the home on York Avenue just after 7 o’clock this morning after a package was discovered in the driveway.
It is the same home where a pipe bomb was placed at the door step on March 8, and people living nearby are concerned.
Some homes in the area were evacuated, and a nearby elementary school and daycare had to close for the day.
An Explosives Disposal Unit arrived from Vancouver to inspect the package.
It was detonated within a couple of hours, but did not appear to contain any explosive material.
The investigation is ongoing.
