Car versus cyclist collision results in serious injury

SASKATOON – Saskatoon police are investigating a collision between a vehicle and a bicyclist that happened early Sunday morning.

Shortly after 3 a.m., a male cyclist was struck by a southbound car on Preston Avenue between 108th Street and College Drive.

The cyclist suffered a serious head injury and was taken to hospital. He is in serious but stable condition.

Southbound traffic was temporarily restricted while the police collision analyst unit carried out their investigation.

There are bike lanes on this section of Preston.

Police have not yet decided if any charges will be laid.
