A small Nanaimo company is hoping a partnership with NASA will move it to the next frontier of robotic exploration.
Seamore Marine is loaning its remote operated vehicles to NASA for a project later this summer.
They’ll be working in Pavilion Lake, located between Cache Creek and Lillooet. It’s home to some of the planet’s earliest known organisms, microbialites over 2.5 billion years old.
There, NASA will study the depths of the lake, giving them valuable experience with robotic vehicles that could be replicated on other planets one day.
Kylie Stanton reports.
