TORONTO – Toronto police have arrested an alleged bank robber they’ve nicknamed the “Pleather Bandit.”
Police say a man wearing a fake leather jacket went into a downtown Toronto Bank of Montreal branch on March 11 and handed over a note indicating he had a gun.
They say he then demanded a specific amount of cash from the teller.
Investigators say a tip from the public has led them to a suspect.
Gustav Khan, 51, of Toronto has been charged with robbery.
