WINNIPEG – Tristan Stewart Bradburn, 21, has been charged with second-degree murder in the shooting death of Geoffrey Oliver Reid, 27, on Saturday.
Police found Reid suffering from a gunshot wound outside a home in the 400 block of Pacific Avenue shortly after 5 p.m., police said in an earlier news release. He was taken in critical condition to hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
Police allege Reid went to Bradburn’s home and a fight broke out, during which Bradburn pulled a gun and fired a single bullet at Reid.
Reid fled to Pacific Avenue where police found him, police said.
Police arrested Bradburn downtown just before 11 a.m. on Wednesday. He’s being held at the Winnipeg Remand Centre.
Bradburn has also been charged with failing to comply with a probation order.
