Convicted drunk driver Carol Berner has withdrawn her application for day and full parole.

Berner was given 30 months in prison after being convicted of impaired and dangerous driving causing death.

She was found responsible for the crash that killed four-year-old Alexa Middelaer and seriously injured her aunt in Delta in 2008.

The Supreme Court of Canada rejected Berner’s request to have her conviction overturned in March of last year.

Berner became eligible for day parole in the fall, and full parole at the beginning of the year.

Her statutory release date is in November of this year.

No reason for the change has been released publicly.
