One injured in 2-alarm apartment fire on Dundas Street

TORONTO – One person was treated for smoke inhalation after a high rise fire on Dundas Street early Thursday morning.

Flames were seen shooting through an 8th floor apartment just after 4 a.m. on Dundas and Scarlett road.

The 8th floor of the building needed to be evacuated.

Fire crews managed to knock down the blaze within an hour.

Dundas St. was closed from Humbercrest Boulevard to Scarlett Road but reopened just after 6 a.m.
